Marlborough Sounds

The Marlborough Sounds are a series of expansive sea drowned valleys with endless bays and coves surrounded by steep hillside remote country. Offering some of the best fishing in the country (closed to commerical fishing and quotas in place for recreational) you will haul up plenty of cod and snapper (the best eating fish on the planet). Uncrowded with plenty of holiday homes and resorts hidden away in the bush and tree covered coves, you can easily find your own peaceful spot here. Many places are best or only accessed by boat as the roads are long and windy or non existent!
